As a wedding day hair and makeup artist I see all the beginning moments and some of them, are some of the most memorable! I wanted to create a list of the best feel good, must-have items on hand to make your morning feel special!
1. Bring a speaker! It sounds like a no brainer, but most people don't think of it! and who could blame you, you have a lot on your plate! Maybe ask someone if they can be responsible for bringing a speaker and building a killer playlist!
2. Breakfast Charcuterie Board! What better way to enjoy some food while you get ready with the crew! It's super important to make sure you're fed and hydrated, you have a long day ahead of you! 3. Cocktails, Mocktails, Anything goes! Let's be honest, most wedding days, the drinks start flowing pretty early! I'm going to share my favorite early morning Mocktail! orange cranberry spritze is one of my favorite! The fractions are to show you what portion of your batch will be what regardless of if your making a drink for yourself or making a big batch for the morning of your wedding! Switch it up to preference/taste! 1/2 of Orange Juice, 1/4 Cranberry Juice + 1/4th Seltzer! My favorite seltzer to add is the cranberry lime by Polar! Tip: Freeze some cranberries and use them to replace the ice so you won't water down your drink! Garnish with an orange slice! To turn this into a "adult use only drink" add your alcohol of choice. I personally like to infuse mine with a THC tincture (glycerin-based is best)! 4. A polaroid or film camera! Chances are your photographer won't come until getting ready is beginning to wrap up! This can be a really fun way to capture little moments and details in the morning! I love the INSTAX by Fujifilm! 5. A self care item! For you this might be your yoga mat so you can get a few mins to stretch and breathe, the day is here! For some people this might be your favorite sheet mask to put on before makeup starts! Whatever it is, it's important to take care of yourself on your big day, you won't regret it!
